What is FraxTight?
FraxTight is a treatment that combines radiofrequency therapy and fractional laser to achieve more pronounced skin tightening and rejuvenation.
Tight is a very safe, gentle, and effective treatment for skin tightening and can be used on all skin types.
The treatment tightens the deep layers of your skin.
Fractional laser is a non-ablative laser treatment that creates a controlled injury in the skin. This triggers a natural rebuilding process during which new connective tissue is formed in the treated area.
A combination of these two treatments ensures maximum regeneration of the skin cells, and you can expect to achieve more youthful skin with a natural "glow," making your face and body appear healthier and younger. The skin becomes smoother and more defined, with a reduction in wrinkles and sagging.
A typical treatment course consists of approximately 3-6 sessions with intervals of 4 weeks between treatments for optimal results.

How does the treatment work?
It is important that you are not tanned when attending the treatment. Therefore, avoid sunbathing and tanning beds for 4 weeks before the treatment, as well as self-tanners on the area for 2 weeks prior.
Tight works by slowly heating the collagen in the skin to a sustained temperature of 41-43 degrees Celsius (105.8-109.4 °F). At these temperatures, pain is rarely experienced. The device uses temperature sensors and feedback control to maintain the heat in the skin at exactly these temperatures. The radiofrequency in the device penetrates the skin via electrodes, and the heat causes the heat-sensitive collagen to react. The body responds by producing new collagen to repair the skin.
Fractional laser is more painful and therefore requires anesthesia, which is applied after the Tight treatment.
The treatment itself feels like a prickling warmth, which may be felt in the skin for several hours afterward. You may take 1 gram of paracetamol about 1 hour before the treatment to reduce any discomfort.
We always recommend using sunscreen both before and after the treatment with SPF 50+ including UVA and UVB filters.
What are the effects of the treatment?
The effect is always individual and depends greatly on various lifestyle factors. While immediate, subtle results appear—such as lifted, smoother, and radiant skin—you will typically notice over time a reduction in skin folds, leading to a more even contour of the face and body. Irregularities in skin texture will become more uniform and the skin will be tighter. With ongoing treatments, these benefits can be maintained.

If you have undergone surgery in the area within the past year
Possible side effects?
The skin becomes red and warm immediately after treatment, often resembling a mild sunburn. Some patients may experience swelling, especially significant swelling around the eyes in the face. These effects usually disappear within a few days to a week. Ice packs can be applied to the treated area for 10 minutes every hour during the first 4 hours if needed.
Besides these immediate side effects, rare cases of burns with wounds have been reported, and in severe cases, permanent scarring can occur in the treated area—though this is extremely rare. In very rare cases, tiny dots and discoloration at the laser insertion points can be visible for many months.
When removing pigmentation, temporary worsening of the pigment color can occur for a couple of weeks.
In some cases, acne breakouts can occur in the treatment area. For those few who experience this, preventive use of salicylic acid peeling directly after individual laser treatments can be applied. Regarding peeling side effects, see the customer information on peeling.
Avoid retinol creams and peels for up to 1 week after treatment unless prescribed as part of the treatment plan.
Sauna, intense physical exercise, chlorinated water, and sea bathing are also discouraged during the first 24 hours after treatment.
New skin is formed, so it is important to avoid sun exposure for at least 1 month after each treatment to avoid reduced treatment effect and pigmentation disturbances.
