PRP pain relief treatment

Is a non-surgical procedure designed for both men and women who experience joint pain, especially in the knees due to overuse or mild to moderate osteoarthritis. The treatment involves taking a small amount of the patient’s blood, processing it to concentrate the growth factor-rich platelets, and then injecting this plasma into the affected joint. This stimulates the body’s natural healing processes, reducing inflammation, relieving pain, and improving mobility. Many patients see improvement after just 1–3 treatments, although additional treatments spaced 3–4 weeks apart may be recommended for optimal results. Uses the ACP Max™ system, which produces PRP with up to 11 times more platelets than standard methods, which can reduce the number of treatments needed. Side effects are minimal and are typically limited to temporary swelling or redness at the injection site. The effects of the treatment can last for months and improve quality of life and physical function.

Experience effective pain relief

If you have experienced knee joint pain due to overuse or suffer from mild to moderate osteoarthritis in the knees, PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) platelet therapy may be the solution you have been looking for.

This innovative medical procedure harnesses the body's own healing mechanisms by using your own blood to create a powerful plasma injection, rich in growth factors and other necessary proteins, which provides pain relief and promotes healing.

PRP treatment works by stimulating the body's natural healing process, resulting in reduced inflammation, pain relief, and improved mobility.

Many patients experience improvement after just 1-3 treatments.

However, in some cases, multiple treatments at approximately 3-4 week intervals may be necessary to achieve the most optimal results.

PRP treatment is extremely safe to use as it uses the patient's own blood, which minimizes the risk of side effects, complications and rejection.

Discomfort such as temporary swelling or redness at the injection site is usually expected to disappear within a short time.

The effects of PRP treatment usually last for several months, and most patients experience reduction in pain, improved function, and increased mobility.

In our clinic, we use the ACP Max™ system to produce platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which sets us apart from many other clinics. The ACP Max™ system uses a double centrifugation process that creates a PRP solution that is almost free of red blood cells. By using more whole blood in this system, we achieve a PRP solution that is significantly more concentrated, with up to 11 times more platelets than in the original blood. This means that our PRP treatments are approximately 3 times more concentrated than those that many other clinics can offer, which will reduce the number of treatments needed.

How the treatment is done:

  • Preliminary examination with one of our doctors

  • After that, a minimum of two days of reflection.

  • On the day of the treatment, you will have a blood sample taken, which will be transferred to a container.

  • The container of blood is centrifuged to separate its various elements, which concentrates the healing and anti-inflammatory components found in the blood. This is called the PRP reading.

  • The PRP solution is extracted from the centrifuged blood and prepared for injection.

  • Finally, the PRP solution will be injected directly into the knee and the healing process will begin.
